Tourism and handicap

Created in 2001, the Label "TOURISME & HANDICAP" aims to provide reliable, descriptive and objective informations of accessibility of tourist sites and facilities taking into account the 4 types of impairments (hearing, mental, motor and visual) and develop an adapted tourism offer.

This assessment is based on some criteria related to architecture or to equipment, the quality of welcome and services. This label is given after validation by the departmental and national committees.

In return, the tourism professional sign a commitment charter for maintain the accessibility  for a period of 5 years renewable.

The Gardanne tourist office in Pays d'Aix obtained the certification "Tourism and Handicap" for the 4 types of disability in september 2023.
